"We are so thankful for Zeta Fencing's safety protocols during the past year (during COVID-19). Having a safe place to practice a beloved sport has made a positive difference in the quality of my son's life. He looks forward to his lessons every week! Thank you for keeping our kids motivated and safe."

Laura, parent

"In a wild year of “not normal”, it meant so much to our fencer to have regular sessions at Zeta with his friends and coaches. The safety of the fencers and the staff came first, with appropriate adjustments being made along the way.  After days of Zoom school and Zoom activities, the trips to Zeta provided a much-needed outlet for our fencer (and honestly, for our family, too, in getting out of the house with regularity).  The fencers kept on fencing, increased their skill and stamina, and were able to maintain a very healthy and positive outlook. Without Zeta, I suspect it would have been a far more challenging year. It is simply the most fabulous experience and the students are taught far more than fencing:  responsibility, accountability, tenacity and grace. They come out with far more grit than when they started."

BEGINNER SUMMER PROGRAMS

The Beginner Summer Program is our entry-level offering for new students with no prior fencing experience.

Participants will master the basic skills of Olympic fencing: footwork, blade moves, and the foundations of strategic thinking. While students will learn about all three disciplines of modern fencing (épée, foil, sabre), they will focus on fencing with Olympic-style sabres. They will also learn about the history and traditions of one of the oldest sports in the world and experience the values of true sportsmanship. On the last day, students will fence an in-house tournament on fully equipped fencing strips with Olympic-standard electric scoring equipment.

The program runs from 9AM to 4PM every day. Participants will practice and learn for a total of 6 hours per day. They will have a one-hour lunch break to eat and relax. That’s what makes our summer programs the perfect way to start fencing.

Students may register for multiple weeks.
