COMPETITIVE CLASS

Admission to the Competitive Class requires the Head Coach's approval that cannot be overturned by students or parents.

If you are new to Zeta Fencing and are interested in enrolling in this class, please contact us to schedule a personal evaluation with the Head Coach.

… Where Fencers Become Competitors

This class prepares fencers ages 8-17 for regional and national tournaments. Students are required to compete at the regional and national level for their age group. On average, students will compete once per month. Their goal is to qualify for and compete at the national championships in their age group. Open Bouting and Advanced Footwork Class participation are included with all class registrations.

Program Requirements
- Fencers use their own equipment during individual lessons, practice, and competitions
- 1-2 weekly private lessons
- Regular class attendance (Tuesday and Thursday)
- Open Bouting attendance highly recommended
- Advanced Footwork Class attendance (Friday) highly recommended
- Competition attendance (in consultation with lesson coach)

Class Overview
- Warm-up, stretching, conditioning
- Footwork & bladework
- Partner drills
- Supervised electric saber fencing

Competitive Class Schedule

Group Class Times:

Tuesday & Thursday: 5:30 - 7pm

Friday: 6 - 7pm (Advanced Footwork Class)

 

Open Bouting

Friday: 7:00 - 8:30pm

 

Fees

Monthly Class Fee: $330; ($280 for second family member)

Yearly Zeta Fencing Club Membership: $400; ($200 for second family member)

Family discount
The family discount is available for the lower-priced program for any additional family members. In case of different program fees, the higher-priced program has to be paid in full.
