"Zeta has been a wonderful experience. Our son has been taking lessons and classes there for the last three years, progressing noticeably at each stage. He has not always loved other sports, but he has discovered a love of fencing at Zeta. Zeta's culture is special in that it shows a deep respect for these young athletes, balanced with a healthy drive to make them better. The discipline, dedication, and skills our child works on at Zeta are reflected in his approach to school and relationships. We are so happy to have found Zeta and expect to be there for years."

... Where Students Develop Their Love of Fencing
Zeta Fencing is one of the most well-known sabre fencing clubs in the United States. We excel at fencing because we make it fun. Our coaches constantly evaluate student progress and make recommendations about class placement beyond the beginner class level. Please contact us to schedule a personal evaluation with our coaches if you are new to Zeta and interested in this program.
The Cadet Class offers older youth fencers (ages 12+) a lot of flexibility to explore the sport further. The program provides all aspects of instruction and training that fencers need: conditioning, footwork, group drills, and many hours of bouting to gain fencing experience. Cadet Class fencers are required to use their own fencing equipment.
Students have the option to enroll in one or two group classes per week. The Open Bouting class is included with all group class options. Cadet Class students are encouraged to sign up for a weekly individual lesson in addition to group classes but are not required to do so. The class runs for 10 months from September 2023 to June 29, 2024.
Students typically do not compete, but may do so, in which case they must purchase a competitive USA Fencing membership. Fencers interested in competing consult with the class coach about appropriate tournament choices.
Cadet Class Times and Fees
In order to enroll in this class, students must own their equipment, purchase a Zeta Fencing club membership, and at least a non-competitive USA Fencing membership. Students may choose to designate one weekly group class day, or they may choose two class days. Prepaid class fees are non-refundable if students choose to downgrade their class attendance days or leave the program entirely. However, payments are transferrable to other Zeta programs.
The first class meets on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
